Ingredients for the cake (sieve 3 times) :

220g superfine flour
50g cocoa powder
1tsp baking powder (heap)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

250ml ice cold water
190g butter
330g sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Ingredients for the chocolate fudge :

50g cocoa powder (sieve)
60g corn starch (sieve)
125ml water
1 cup (250ml) evaporated milk
180g sugar
1/2 tsp fine salt
2 egg yolks
60g butter
1 stp vanilla

Method :

1) Cream butter and sugar

2) Add in vanilla and eggs one at a time; mix well before adding the next egg

3) Add sieved dry ingredients and water (1/3 at a time) alternatively to beaten mixture and mix well till well combined. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 9" pan

4) Bake at 180 C for 45 minutes or until cooked

5) For chocolate fudge, mix everything in doubler (except butter) and keep on stirring with a whisk until the mixture thickens. Lastly add in butter
6) Spread chocolate fudge when fudge is hot on to the cake
